SIX7 Plumbing Gas Pipe Repair Colombo
LPG line work is licensed work, and we hold licensed technicians for it. The honest footnote: the job pattern here is one specific route, and demand is low — but when you smell gas, low demand doesn't matter.

Is this your problem?
- Gas smell at the cooker line
- Corroded pipe at the slab penetration
- Cooker relocation needing a new line run
- Post-renovation line re-test
The standard Sri Lankan setup is the cylinder in the pantry under the slab, the pipe taken through a hole in the slab, and fitted to the cooker. Failures cluster at that slab penetration and at the cooker tail: corrosion, chafing, a joint disturbed by someone moving the cooker. We repair the line, re-seal the penetration, and soap-test every joint before we close up — no exceptions, no "looks fine".
Scope is the line: cylinder to cooker, joints, penetration seal, test. Regulators and cylinder internals are the gas supplier's territory and we don't touch them — saying so keeps your warranty and our license intact. If you smell gas now: shut the cylinder, open the windows, don't switch anything electrical, and call from outside. Those calls jump the queue.
"You can smell a gas leak in time."
Many gas leaks are too small to smell — a pressure test finds what your nose misses.
We always pressure-test after any gas work — it's the only way to know the line is truly safe.
Cause
Corroded joints, damaged pipes, and poor initial installation cause gas leaks that are invisible until catastrophic.
How We Fix It
Isolate gas supply, pressure-test the line, replace failed sections with rated fittings, re-test and certify.
If you smell gas, don't light matches or switch on lights. Open windows, leave the area, and call us immediately.
A gas leak is a safety emergency. Every minute you wait increases the risk of fire or explosion.
Never check for gas with a flame — we use a gauge and leak solution. Bubbles do not lie, and fire does not forgive.
What to Do Before We Arrive
- If you smell gas, touch nothing — no switches, no flames — leave the building and call us from outside.
- Note where the smell is strongest — kitchen, yard, geyser flue — it narrows the leaking run.
- Close the cylinder valve at the source only if it is safe to reach on your way out.
- Keep the last gas bill handy — a spike in usage with unchanged cooking can mean a slow leak somewhere.
