Colombo's default is a 500L poly tank; larger families run 1,000L, and big houses commonly stack 2×1000L plus a 500L buffer. Apartments move into another league: 2×2000L plus a 1,000L reserve is standard, and we recently commissioned a 2×2000L + 5,000L setup on a large building. Whatever the configuration, the engineering is the same: stand rated for the full weight, floats and unions new, overflow and vent done right, fill-tested before handover.
Above certain sizes the roof itself becomes the question. When a client wanted a 5,000L tank on a building, we stopped and brought in a civil engineer for a structural assessment before any lifting happened — that assessment is quoted separately, and we will always pause for it rather than guess at a slab's load limit. Standard roof rigging is included; crane access is a separate line quoted on the call.
